Clearing\Resetting The Local Cache in SmartViews
There are times in which the local database becomes out of sync with the cloud database causing the sync functionality to stop working. Clearing the cache will solve most of these problems.
Clearing the cache involves creating a backup copy of the local database, deleting the local database, and finally downloading a fresh copy from the cloud.
This can be done in 2 ways:
1. Hold "ctrl" while launching SmartViews. You will be prompted to clear the cache. Select "Yes".
2. From the log in screen, click the 'i' at the bottom left, then click on "Cache Reset". Select "Yes" when prompted to reset the local cache file. This is available starting in version 4.40.1.2
There may be some local changes that are lost but are not gone forever as the backup of the local copy will still exist in the SmartViews directory.
