Part 1: Return before invoicing
1. Click the Open icon on the toolbar.
2. Type order shipping in the Filter field.
3. Click the Order Shipping list item.
4. Click the OK button. The Order Shipping form opens.
5. Type dc307 in the Order field. Note: This is the order number you shipped in Exercise 2.2.
6. Press Tab.
7. Click the Filter in Place icon.
8. Click the CO Line/ Release Status drop-down arrow.
9. Click the Filled list item.
10. Click the Filter in Place icon.
11. Locate and select the Line and Release row that you shipped in the previous exercise.
12. Look at the bottom right side of form to see the Qty Shipped. This is the amount you shipped in
previous exercise.
13. Click to Select the Select check box for your line item.
14. Type the [negative value of Qty Shipped] in the Quantity field. (For example, if your Qty
Shipped is 10, then enter -10 in the Quantity field.)
15. Click the Reason Code field.
16. Click the Reason Code drop-down arrow.
17. Click the OSP list item.
18. Click the Packing Slip drop-down arrow.
19. Click the [Packing Slip number created in Ex. 2.2 Part 2] list item.
20. Click the Process button.
21. Click the OK button. A dialog box opens with the message, “1 Shipping Transaction(s) were
posted.”
22. Click the OK button.
23. Keep the Order Shipping form open for next steps
Part 2: Return after invoicing
1. Type [dc363] in the Order field.
2. Press Tab.
3. Click to select the Select checkbox on Line 1.
4. Type 1 in the Quantity field.
5. Click to select the CR Return checkbox. Note: This makes it a credit return.
6. Click the Reason Code field.
7. Click the Reason Code drop down arrow.
8. Click the OSP from the list.
9. Click the Process button. A dialog box opens with the message, “1 Shipping Transaction(s) were
posted.”
10. Click the OK button. Note: Now that the return is done it is available for accounts receivable to
print the credit memo.
11. Click the X on the Order Shipping form
