Process a multi-currency customer order

Part 1: Ship the order
To see the foreign exchange process, we must set a specific transaction date.
1. Select Master Explorer > Modules > Customer > Order Entry > Activities > Order Shipping. 
The Order Shipping form opens.
2. Type <your order number> from Exercise 3.2, Part 1 in the Order drop-down list.
3. Press Tab.
4. Select <the second day of the current month> from the Transaction Date field calendar.
5. Select the Select check box for Line 2. This will ship the quantity from the FIN-1 Location.
6. Type 10 in the Quantity field.
7. Click Process. A dialog box opens with the message, “1 Shipping Transaction(s) were posted.”
8. Click OK.
9. Close the Order Shipping form.
Part 2: Create an invoice
1. Select Master Explorer > Modules > Customer > Order Entry > Activities > Order 
Invoicing/Credit Memo. The Order Invoicing/Credit Memo form opens.
2. Verify Invoice is selected in the Invoices or Credit Memos field.
3. Select <the second day of the current month> from the Invoice Date field calendar.
4. Type <your order number> from the Order/Line Release field drop-down list for both Starting
and Ending fields.
This is not a Blanket Order, so do not enter any data in the third field that is 
reserved for Order Line Releases.
5. Select Actions > View Amounts. The Report Viewer opens and displays the invoice amount in 
AUD.
6. Close the Report Viewer.
7. Click Process. A dialog box opens with the message, “[Print Order Invoicing/Credit Memo] will be
performed.”
8. Click OK. A dialog box opens with the message, “Report Submitted.”
9. Click OK.
10. Click A/R Invoices. The Invoices, Debit and Credit Memos (Filter In Place) form opens.
11. Run Filter-in-Place.
12. Select <your customer and invoice> from the grid on the left. The invoice information displays
matching what appeared on View Amounts.
13. Click the Translate icon. The Invoices, Debit and Credit Memos Domestic Currency (Linked) 
form opens. 
Note: The domestic currency information regarding the transaction is displayed. You should see 
4,200.00 in the Total field.
14. Close the Invoices, Debit and Credit Memos Domestic Currency (Linked) form. You are 
returned to the Invoices, Debit and Credit Memos form.
Part 3: Post the invoice
You should be on the Invoices, Debit and Credit Memos form.
1. Click Invoice Posting.
2. Click Process. A dialog box opens with the message, “[Invoice Transaction Report] will be 
printed.”
3. Click OK. The report viewer begins to open; you can close it. A dialog box opens with the 
message, “Report Submitted.”
4. Click OK again.
5. Select Commit.
6. Click Process. A dialog box opens with the message, “[Invoice Posting] will be performed.”
7. Click OK. A dialog box opens with the message, “1 A/R Invoice(s) were posted.”
8. Click OK again.
9. Close the Invoice Posting form. You are returned to the Invoices, Debit and Credit Memos
form.
