Schedule a background task

Part 1: Accounts Receivable Aging Report inputs
1.Open the Accounts Receivable Aging Report. Click the calendar icon in the Aging Date field. A calendar opens displaying the current month of 
the current year.
2. Click the number 10. The calendar closes and the Aging Date field is populated with the 10th
day of the current month and year.
3. Click to select the Increment Date check box next to the Aging Date field.
4. Click the calendar icon in the Cutoff Date field. A calendar opens displaying the current month of 
the current year.
5. Click the number 10. The calendar closes and the Cutoff Date field is populated with the 10th
day of the current month and year.
6. Click to select the Increment Date check box next to the Cutoff Date field.
7. Click the Actions menu.
8. Click the Background menu item. The Background Queue (Modal) form opens.
Part 2: Background Queue (Modal) form inputs
1. Click to select the Weekly Recurrence radio button.
2. Click the On Day drop-down arrow.
3. Click the 2 list item.
4. Click to select the Tuesday check box.
5. Type 8:00:00 AM in the Starting Time field.
6. Click the OK button. A Background Queue (Modal) dialog box opens with the message, “Report 
Submitted.”
7. Click the OK button.
8. Click the Save modified data item.
9. Click the OK button to close the form.
Part 3: Confirm that the background task has been created correctly
1. Click to open the Active Background Tasks form. The Active Background Tasks form opens 
with the AccountsReceivableAgingReport task listed with a status of WAITING.
2. Click the X button on the Active Background Tasks tab to close it.
Part 4: Setup the “Report Options” for the Background Task created in the previous part
1. Click to open the Background Task Definitions form.
2. Click the Filter In Place item.
3. Click to select the AccountsReceivableAgingReport task in the left pane of the form.
4. Click the Report Options item. The Report Options (Linked) form opens listing the 
AccountsReceivableAgingReport task. The administrator user name (sa) displays in the User
column and Acrobat Format displays in the Output Format column.
5. Click the E-mail Notification drop-down arrow.
6. Click the Yes list item.
7. Click the Attach Report drop-down arrow.
8. Click the Yes list item.
9. Click the Save modified data and close form (OK) button. This will close the Report Options 
(Linked) form. This report can now be e-mailed to you when it is generated.
Note: If you want this report to be e-mailed to all users who generate the report, delete any user 
ID in the User field of the Report Options form.
10. Click the Save modified date button.
11. Click the OK button to close the form
