Part 1: Recall a previously used form and add a new record
1. Click the Form drop-down arrow on the Menu bar.
2. Click the Items list item. This will be found in the recent forms list below Sign Out. The Items
(Filter in Place) form opens.
3. Click the Filter in Place icon.
4. Click the New icon.
5. Type [your initials]-My new item in the Item field.
6. Type My new item in the Description field.
7. Type f in the U/M field.
8. Click the U/M drop-down arrow. Notice the first selected entry in the list begins with the letter f.
9. Click the FT list item.
10. Click the Product Code drop-down arrow.
11. Click the FG-100 list item.
12. Click the Save icon on the toolbar.
If the record contained a field with a number that is automatically assigned and cannot be
manually changed, the system assigns the next available number to the copied record when
you save it. If the record contains a field with a number that is automatically assigned but
which can be changed manually, the number is duplicated in the copied record. You can
update the value manually before you save the record. To allow the system to assign the
next available number automatically, make the field blank before you save the record.
Part 2: Add a second new record
1. Click the Actions drop-down arrow.
2. Click the New list item.
3. Type [your initials]-My second new item in the Item field.
4. Type My second new item in the field below the Item field.
5. Press Tab.
Part 3: Add a new value to a drop-down list
1. Right-click the U/M field. A drop-down list displays.
2. Click the Add… list item. The Unit of Measure Codes (Find) form opens allowing you to add a
new unit of measurement.
3. Type [your initials]S in the U/M field.
4. Type [your initials] - Sample unit of measure in the Description field.
5. Click the Save icon.
6. Click the Close (X) button on the Unit of Measure Codes (Find) form. A dialog box opens with
the message, “Do you want to return [your initials]S for Add for U/M to form Items?”
7. Click the Yes button.
8. Click the Product Code drop-down arrow.
9. Click the FG-100 list item.
10. Click the Save icon.
11. Click the Close (X) button on the Items form
