Add items

Part 1: Add a new item
1. Click the Open icon on the toolbar. The Select Form dialog box opens.
2. Type items in the Filter field.
3. Click the web.Items list item. Note: the web. forms will be listed under the Name column.
4. Click the OK button. The Items form opens. 
5. Click the New Icon.
6. Type [your initials]-DCBT-200 in the Item field.
7. Type Deluxe Child Bicycle Trailer-2 in the Description field.
8. Click the U/M drop-down arrow.
9. Click the EA list item.
10. Verify Material is selected in the Type field.
11. Verify Manufactured is selected in the Source field.
12. Click the Product Code drop-down arrow.
13. Click the FG-100 list item.
14. Verify Actual is selected in the Cost Type field.
15. Click to select the Stocked check box.
16. Click the Planning menu option.
17. Type [your initials] in the Planner Code field.
18. Type .15 in the Shrink Factor field. 
19. Click the Additional Planning menu option.
20. Type 100 in the Order Minimum field.
21. Type 100 in the Order Multiple field.
22. Type 1 in the Days Supply field.
23. Click the Sales menu option.
24. Type 4 in the Std Due Period field.
25. Click the Save icon.
26. Click the X on the Items form.
Part 2: Add safety stock
1. Click the Open icon on the toolbar. The Select Form dialog box opens.
2. Type item/warehouse in the Filter field.
3. Click the web.Itemwarehouses list item.
4. Click the OK button. The Item/Warehouse form opens.
5. Click the Filter in Place icon.
6. Type [your initials]-DCBT-200 in the Item field.
7. Click the Filter in Place icon.
8. Type 1000 in the Safety stock field.
9. Click the Save icon.
10. Click the X on the Item/Warehouse form
