Create a new opportunity

Create a new opportunity

1. Click the Open icon.
2. Type prospects in the Filter field.
3. Click the Prospects list item.
4. Click the OK button. The Prospects (Filter in Place) form opens.
5. Type [your prospect number] in the Prospect field.
6. Click the Filter in Place icon.
7. Click the Opportunities button. The Opportunities (Linked) form opens.
8. Click the Ellipsis.
9. Type [your initials]? in the Opportunity field.
10. Type New racing bikes promo in the Description field to the right of the Opportunity field.
11. Click the Status drop-down arrow. 
12. Click the New list item.
13. Click the Stage drop-down list.
14. Click the 1-Incoming list item.
15. Click the Contact drop-down arrow.
16. Click the [your Verna Jenkins contact number] list item.
17. Click the Campaign drop-down arrow. 
18. Click the [your campaign number] list item.
19. Type 10000.00 in the Est. Value field.
20. Click the calendar icon in the Projected Close Date field. A calendar displays with the current 
month and year visible.
21. Click the [date one week from today] option. The Projected Close Date field populates.
22. Click the Save icon.
23. Write down your Opportunity number ______________.
24. Click the Close (X) button on the Opportunities (Linked) form. You are returned to the 
Prospects form.
25. Click the Opportunities tab.
26. Verify [your opportunity number] displays.
27. Click the Close (X) button on the Prospects form
