Create an estimate

Part 1: Create an estimate
1. Click the Form drop-down arrow on the Menu bar. A list of the 10 previously opened forms 
displays.
2. Click the Opportunities list item. The Opportunities (Filter in Place) form opens.
3. Type [your opportunity number] in the Opportunity field.
4. Click the Filter in Place icon.
5. Click the Estimates button. The Estimates (Linked) form opens.
6. Type [your initials]? in the Estimate field.
7. Verify [your Astro Sports prospect number] is displayed in the Prospect field.
8. Verify Working displays in the Status field.
9. Verify [today’s date] is displayed in the Quote Date field. 
Note: The current date displays by default.
10. Type Speed racing bikes in the Customer Quote field.
11. Verify [a date 60 days from today’s date] is showing in the Expiration Date field. 
12. Click the Save icon.
13. Write down your estimate number _______________.
Part 2: Add item data and create quote
1. Click the Ellipsis (…).
2. Click the Estimate Lines button. The Estimate Lines (Linked) form opens.
3. Type speed* in the Item field.
4. Click the Item drop-down arrow.
5. Click the SPEED-12000 list item.
6. Type 10 in the Qty Ordered field.
7. Click the New icon.
8. Type speed-13000 in the Item field.
9. Type 10 in the Qty Ordered field.
10. Click the Save icon.
11. Click the Close (X) button on the Estimate Lines (Linked) form. You are returned to the 
Estimates (Linked) form.
12. Click the Status drop-down arrow.
13. Click the Quoted list item. A dialog box opens with the message, “Every Estimate Line where 
Estimate is [your initials]0000000X will have Status set to Quoted.”
14. Click the OK button.
15. Click the Save icon.
Part 3: Review estimate quotation and send
1. Verify you are on the Estimates (Linked) form. 
2. Click the Estimate Response Form Report button. The Estimate Response Form Report form 
opens.
3. Click the Print button. The Estimate Response Form Report opens in a new tab.
4. Review the quotation.
5. Click the X on the report tab to close.
6. Click the Window drop-down arrow.
7. Click the Close All list item.
You can create a Customer Document Profile task for the Estimate Response Form 
Report, enabling the automatic sending of the quote via email, when the quote is print
