Part 1: Create a customer order
1. Click the Open icon on the toolbar.
2. Type customer orders in the Filter field.
3. Click the Customer Orders list item.
4. Click the OK button. The Customer Orders (Filter in Place) form opens.
5. Click the Filter in Place icon.
6. Click the New icon.
7. Type [your initials]? in the Order field.
8. Click the Customer drop-down arrow.
9. Click the 6 list item.
10. Click the Save icon.
11. Write down the Order Number ______________.
Part 2: Add a customer order line
1. Click the Ellipsis.
2. Click the Lines button. The Customer Order Lines (Linked) form opens.
3. Type FA-10000 in the Item field.
4. Type 10 in the Qty Ordered field.
5. Type 380 in the Unit Price field.
6. Click the Sales Disc Field.
7. Press Delete.
8. Click the Close (X) button on the Customer Order Lines (Linked) form.
9. Click the Close (X) button on the Customer Orders form.
Part 3: Modify a customer order
Modify customer order sale so that Susan will get 25% of the revenue at her standard commission rate.
The existing salesperson will get 75% of the revenue.
1. Click the Open icon on the toolbar.
2. Type salesperson commission distribution in the Filter field.
3. Click the Salesperson Commission Distribution list item.
4. Click the OK button. The Salesperson Commission Distribution (Filter in Place) form opens.
5. Click the Order drop-down arrow.
6. Click the [your customer number] list item.
7. Click the Filter in Place icon.
8. Click the New icon.
9. Click the Salesperson drop-down arrow.
10. Click the SVH list item.
11. Type 25 in the Revenue % field. This indicates that Susan will receive 25% of the commission
based on 100% of the invoiced amount for this customer order line.
12. Click the Save icon.
13. Click the Close (X) button on the Salesperson Commission Distribution form.
Part 4: Ship and invoice the line
1. Click the Open icon on the toolbar.
2. Type order shipping in the Filter field.
3. Click the Order Shipping list item.
4. Click the OK button. The Order Shipping form opens.
5. Click the Order drop-down arrow.
6. Click the [your order number] list item.
7. Click to select the Select check box for Line 1.
8. Click to select the Select check box for Line 2. Note: they are being shipped from 2 separate
locations.
9. Click the Process button. A dialog box opens with the message, “Transaction Date must be
between XX and XX. Should [Update] be performed?”
10. Click the Yes button. A dialog box opens with the message, ”Exp Date is [XX] for Lot that has
[Lot: X] and Item [FA-10000]. [Order Shipping] will continue.
11. Click the OK button.
12. Click the Close (X) button on the Order Shipping form.
13. Click the Open icon on the toolbar.
14. Type order invoicing in the Filter field.
15. Click the Order Invoicing/Credit Memo list item.
16. Click the OK button. The Order Invoicing/Credit Memo form opens
17. Click the Starting Order Line/Release drop-down arrow.
18. Click the [you order number] list item.
19. Click the Process button. A dialog box opens with the message, “Invoice Date must be between
[XX] and [XX]. Should [Update] be performed?
20. Click the Yes button. A dialog box opens with the message,”[Print Order Invoicing/Credit Memo]
will be performed.”
21. Click the OK button. A “Report Submitted.” toast message displays.
22. Click the Close (X) button on the Order Invoicing/Credit Memo form.
Part 5: Verify the commission earned
1. Click the Open icon on the toolbar.
2. Type commissions due in the Filter field.
3. Click the Commissions Due list item.
4. Click the OK button. The Commissions Due (Filter in Place) form opens.
5. Click the Salesperson drop-down arrow.
6. Click the [your initials]SVH list item.
7. Click the Filter in Place icon.
8. Verify the commission earned for Susan is $57. This is 6% of the total salesperson commission
base of $950. The Sales Manager has a commission earned of $38. That is 1% of the invoice
commission base of $3800.
9. Click the Close (X) button on the Commissions Due form.
