Error while Launching Visual - "Cannot find specified protocol entry"

If the following error is encountered while trying to launch Visual, check if there are any ODBC connections with the same name as the database name specified for the Visual connection.

To recreate this error, verify the database name in the Visual sign-in window.

Create an ODBC connection with the same name as the database.  In this example it is "DEMO10".

In trying to launch Visual, you will receive the same error message as above.

To resolve, simply name the ODBC data source something different than the database name used in Visual.

The error will no longer appear when launching Visual.
