Part 1: Assign Privileges to view employee payroll records
1. Open the Work Groups form.
2. Verify you are on the SLAdmin record.
3. Verify your logged in User ID appears under the Privileges Tab in the User ID column. If not,
click on a new row under the User ID column and Add [your user id].
4. Verify that all check boxes under the Privileges tab are selected. If not select them all.
5. Verify that Employee 3 Wallace, Jeff is listed under the Employees tab.
6. Close the Work Groups form.
Part 2: Attendance transactions and Real time transaction entries
1. Open the Employee Home Page form.
2. Click Attendance Transactions. The Attendance Transactions (Modal) form opens.
3. Create the following Attendance Transactions using the information in the following table to Clock
In:

4. Click Clock In. “ClockIn Successful” displays in the Message field. This means the employee has
clocked in for their shift.
5. Click Close. The Employee Home Page form displays.
6. Click Real Time Entry. The Real Time Transaction Entry (Modal) form opens.
7. Create the following Real Time Transaction Entry using the information in the following table to
Start Job:
Note: If the form automatically takes you to the Attendance Transactions (Modal) form, click
Close to return to the Real Time Transaction Entry form. This does not normally occur as the
employee should be entering the information the day that is occurs. We are doing this because
we need to create transactions in the system. Because we need transactions in the system, it is
doing this because it is assuming you want to complete transactions for today’s date, when in fact
we are entering transactions for a different date (unless your class is scheduled on a Monday).
This will apply throughout this exercise.

Exception with an action that was taken with either the Attendance Transaction or the Real Time
Entry.
