Duplicate a record, edit a record, and delete a record

Part 1: Copy an existing record
1. Click the Open icon.
2. Type items in the Filter field.
Note: Items may already be in the Filter field and the items list of forms displayed.
3. Use the scroll bar to locate the Items form.
4. Click the Items list item.
5. Click the OK button. The Items (Filter in Place) form opens.
6. Type bmx* in the Items field.
7. Click the Items drop-down arrow.
8. Click the BMX-13000 list item.
9. Click the Filter in Place icon.
10. Click the Actions drop-down arrow,
11. Click the Duplicate list item. A dialog box opens with the message, “This copy will not copy the 
item's current BOM to the other site. Use the Multi-Site Bill of Material Builder to copy item BOMs 
to other sites. Continue with this copy?”
12. Click the Yes button. A copy of the selected record is inserted as the next record.
13. Type [your initials] BMX-14000 in the Item field.
14. Press Tab.
15. Type Bicycle, BMX, Black in the Description field.
16. Click the Save icon.
Part 2: Edit data
1. Verify you are on the record for [your initials] BMX-14000.
2. Type BMX-14000 in the Drawing Number field.
3. Press Tab. Note: An Orange diamond indicator displays on the line number. This indicates the
record has been modified and has not yet been saved.
4. Click the Save icon.
Part 3: Delete a record
1. Verify you are on the record for [your initials] BMX-14000.
2. Click the Delete icon on the toolbar. A dialog box opens with the message, “This record will be
permanently deleted upon Save.”
Users can also click Actions > Delete, or press Ctrl + D.
3. Click the OK button. A red X indicator displays to the left of the record.
4. Click the Save icon. The record is deleted.
5. Click the Close (X) button on the Items form
