Issuing and posting an RMA credit memo

Part 1: Preview the RMA Status Report for To Be Credited RMA’s
1. Click the Open icon on the toolbar. The Select Form dialog box opens.
2. Type rma status in the Filter field.
3. Click the RMA Status Report list item.
4. Click the OK button. The RMA Status Report form opens. 
5. Click to select the To Be Credited check box. 
6. Click the Preview button. The RMA Status Report opens in a new tab.
7. Verify that the RMA lines for Price Brothers Dept Store are listed and the quantities match those 
that were returned by the customer.
8. Click the X on the report tab to close.
9. Click the X on the RMA Status Report form.
Part 2: Issue a credit memo
1. Click the Open icon on the toolbar. The Select Form dialog box opens.
2. Type rma credit in the Filter field.
3. Click the RMA Credit Memo list item.
4. Click the OK button. The RMA Credit Memo form opens. 
5. Type [your initials]1 in the RMA field in the Starting section.
6. Press Tab.
7. Click the Process button. A dialog box opens with the message, “[Print RMA Credit Memo] will 
be performed.”
8. Click the OK button. A dialog box opens with the message, “Report Submitted”.
9. Click the OK button. 
10. Click the X on the RMA Credit Memo form.
Part 3: View the distribution details and post the credit memo
1. Click the Open icon on the toolbar. The Select Form dialog box opens.
2. Type invoices in the Filter field.
3. Click the Invoices, Debit and Credit Memos list item.
4. Click the OK button. The Invoices, Debit and Credit Memos (Filter in Place) form opens.
5. Click the Filter in Place icon. Your Invoice and Credit Memo are displayed.
6. Click the Credit Memo line in the grid.
Note: the amount credited is the total of the credit for both RMA line items plus the freight charge 
that was credited on the RMA for this customer.
7. Click the Distribution button. The Invoices, Debit and Credit Memos G/L Distribution 
(Linked) form opens.
8. Select each distribution record on the left side of the form and verify distribution accounts and 
amounts. 
Note: the restocking fee that was charged to the customer for RMA line 2 appears on one of the 
distribution records.
9. Click the X on the Invoices, Debit and Credit Memos G/L Distribution (Linked) form.
10. Click the Invoice Posting button. The Invoice Posting form opens. 
The customer and invoice number fields will be pre-populated with information from the credit 
memo.
11. Click the Invoice field.
12. Press Delete.
13. Press Tab.
14. Press Delete. This way you will post both the invoice and credit memo.
15. Click the Process button. A dialog box opens with the message, “[Invoice Transaction Report] 
will be printed.”
16. Click the OK button. The Invoice Transactions Report opens in a new tab.
17. Click the X to close the report viewer. A dialog box opens with the message, “Report Submitted”.
18. Click the OK button. The invoice information will appear in the grid on the form.
19. Click to select the Commit radio button.
20. Click the Process button. A dialog box opens with the message, “[Invoice Posting] will be 
performed.”
21. Click the OK button. A dialog box opens with the message, “X A/R Invoice(s) were posted.”
22. Click the OK button. 
23. Click the Window drop-down arrow on the menu bar.
24. Click the Close All list item
