Move a prospect to a customer and convert the estimate to a customer order

Part 1: Move prospect to customer
1. Click the Open icon.
2. Type prospects in the Filter field.
3. Click the Prospects list item.
4. Click the OK button. The Prospects (Filter in Place) form opens.
5. Type [your prospect number] in the Prospect field.
6. Click the Filter in Place icon.
7. Click the Ellipsis (…).
8. Click the Move to Customer button. The Move Prospect To Customer (Modal) form opens.
9. Type [your initials]? in the New Customer field.
10. Click the Bank Code drop-down arrow.
11. Click the BK1 list item.
12. Click the Process button. A dialog box opens with the message, “[Move Prospect To Customer] 
will be performed.”
13. Click the OK button. A dialog box opens with the message, “[Process] was successful for 
Customer that has [Customer: [your initials]00000X].”
14. Click the OK button.
15. Click the Close (X) button on the Prospects form.
After converting the Prospect to a Customer, the Accounts Receivable team will implement 
the customer credit limit and payment terms.
Part 2: Convert estimate to sales order
1. Click the Open icon.
2. Type copy ord in the Filter field.
3. Click the Copy Orders and Estimates list item.
4. Click the OK button. The Copy Orders and Estimates form opens. 
5. Verify Estimate is selected in the Order Type field.
6. Click the Order Number drop-down arrow in the From column.
7. Click the [your Estimate number] list item. 
Note: This is the same as the Estimate number you created in Exercise 4.2. 
8. Type [your initials]? in the Order Number field in the To column. 
9. Click the Process button. A dialog box opens with the message, “Customer Order that has 
[Order: [your initials]0000000X] and [Order Type: Regular] does not exist. Customer Order will be 
created.”
10. Write down your customer order number ______________.
11. Click the OK button. A toast message displays, “Copy was successful.” The Customer Order
form opens displaying your customer order.
12. Click the General tab. Note the associated Estimate and Opportunity display in the respective 
fields.
13. Click the Window drop-down arrow.
14. Click the Close All list item.
Part 3: Review associated links
1. Click the Form drop-down arrow on the Menu bar.
2. Click the Campaigns list item. The Campaigns (Filter in Place) form opens.
3. Type [your campaign number] in the Campaign field.
4. Click the Filter in Place icon. Note: how many leads were generated and how many 
opportunities were created.
5. Click the Leads tab. Your lead displays.
6. Click the Opportunities tab. The details shown in your opportunity include the Status, Estimated 
Value, Stage, Territory, and Closing Percentage.
7. Click the Communications tab. The details of the Send Communication display.
8. Click the Opportunities button. The Opportunities (Linked) form opens.
9. Click the Tasks tab. Your tasks display.
10. Click the Estimates tab. Note the status of the estimate.
11. Click the Orders tab. Note the Total Price is the same as the estimate price.
12. Click the Close (X) button on the Campaigns form.
