Part 1: Set lot track and backflushing for [your initials]-PH-20000
1. Click the Open icon on the toolbar.
2. Type items in the Filter field.
3. Click the Items list item.
4. Click the OK button. The Items (Filter in Place) form opens.
5. Type [your initials]* in the Item field.
6. Click the Item drop-down arrow.
7. Click the [your initials]-PH-20000 list item.
8. Click the Filter in Place button.
9. Click the Controls tab.
10. Click to select the Lot Track check box.
Note: Notice the Lot Prefix field displays the prefix you defined on the Inventory Parameters
form.
11. Verify Lot - Lot Number is selected in the Issue By field.
12. Type 90 in the Shelf Life field.
13. Verify the Backflush check box is selected.
14. Verify FLOOR is selected in the Backflush Location field.
15. Click the Save icon.
16. Click the X on the Items form.
Part 2: Perform a miscellaneous receipt for [your initials]-PH-20000
1. Click the Open icon on the toolbar.
2. Type misc in the Filter field.
3. Click the Miscellaneous Receipt list item.
4. Click the OK button. The Miscellaneous Receipt form opens.
5. Type [your initials]* in the Item field.
6. Click the Item drop-down arrow.
7. Click the [your initials]-PH-20000 list item.
8. Type 50 in the Quantity field.
9. Type 0.50 in the Material Cost field.
10. Verify [your initials]-A1-S1 is selected in the Location field.
11. Verify the [automatically generated] Lot Number displays in the Lot field.
12. Click the Reason drop-down arrow.
13. Click the MMR list item.
14. Click the Receive button. An Add Lot dialog box opens. This allows you to enter a Manufactured
Date, Expiration Date, and Transaction Restriction Code.
15. Click the OK button. A dialog box opens with the message, “[Miscellaneous Receipt] was
successful.”
16. Click the OK button.
17. Click the X on the Miscellaneous Receipt form.
Part 3: View the lot trace tree for FA-20000
1. Click the Open icon on the toolbar.
2. Type lots in the Filter field.
3. Click the Lots list item.
4. Click the OK button. The Lots (Filter in Place) form opens.
5. Click the Filter in Place icon.
6. Type fa* in the Item field.
7. Click the Item drop-down arrow.
8. Click the FA-20000 list item.
9. Click the Filter in Place icon.
Note: This is not the item you set up for lot tracking at the beginning of this exercise. Instead, you
will view an item with more transaction history to provide a better understanding of how lottracked information displays.
10. Click the Lot Trace menu option.
11. Click the plus sign (+) to expand the Lot Trace tree.
12. View the lot tracing for the item and lot. The transactions are listed from oldest to newest.
13. Click the X on the Lots form
