Action the topic

1. Click the Open icon on the toolbar.
2. Type quality control in the Filter field.
3. Click the Quality Control Topics list item.
4. Click the OK button. The Quality Control Topics (Filter in Place) form opens. 
5. Click the Filter in Place icon.
6. Click to select [your topic number] in the grid. The Initial Note should begin with [your initials].
7. Click the X-Ref TRR button. The TRRs (Linked) form opens.
8. Click the Status drop-down arrow.
9. Click the Under Review list item.
10. Click the calendar icon in the Sched Date field. A calendar displays with the current month and 
year visible.
11. Click the [date seven days from the current date] option. The Sched Date field populates.
12. Click the calendar icon in the Follow-Up Date field. A calendar displays with the current month 
and year visible.
13. Click the [date seven days from the current date] option. The Follow-Up Date field populates.
The Sched Date and Follow-Up Date will vary based on each customer’s business 
processes.
14. Click the Reason drop-down arrow.
15. Click the PPE list item.
16. Type The employee did not put the protective eyewear on. in the Description field under the 
current note that is displayed.
17. Click the Cause drop-down arrow.
18. Click the TRAIN list item.
19. Type Employee didn’t have enough training. in the Cause field.
20. Click the Assigned To drop-down arrow.
21. Click the 16 list item.
22. Click the Correction/Containment tab.
23. Type Employee is not allowed to work in that work center until properly trained. in the 
Correction/Containment field.
24. Type Training scheduled for one week from today’s date. in the Corrective Action field.
25. Click the Authorized By drop-down arrow.
26. Click the 16 list item.
27. Click the Costs tab. Note: The Costs tab provides a grid which is found on several QCS forms 
and provides the same fields on those forms.
28. Type 1 in the Seq field.
29. Press Tab.
30. Click the Action drop-down arrow.
31. Click the HR list item.
32. Press Tab.
33. Click the Cost Type drop-down arrow.
34. Click the TRAINING list item.
35. Type 1 in the Qty field.
36. Type 500.00 in the Unit Cost field.
37. Type This is the cost to conduct training. in the Description field.
38. Click the Save icon.
39. Click to select the Close TRR check box located below the Follow-Up Date field. 
Notice when this check box is selected, the Close Date and Closed By fields populate.
40. Click the Close (X) button on the TRRs (Linked) form. The Quality Control Topics form 
displays.
41. Click to select the Topic Complete check box located below the Created By field. 
Notice when this check box is selected, the Close Date field populates, and everything becomes 
read only.
42. Click the Close (X) button on the Quality Control Topics form
