1. Click the Open icon on the toolbar.
2. Type cars in the Filter field.
3. Click the CARs list item.
4. Click the OK button. The CARs (Filter in Place) form opens.
5. Click the Filter in Place icon.
6. Click the New icon.
7. Type [your initials]? In the CAR Num field.
8. Click the Ref Type drop-down arrow.
9. Click the E list item.
10. Type 10 in the CAR Qty field.
11. Type cg* in the Item field.
12. Click the Item drop-down arrow.
13. Click the CG-10000 list item.
14. Click the calendar icon in the Due Date field. A calendar displays with the current month and
year visible.
15. Click the [date seven days from the current date] option. The Due Date field populates.
16. Click the Inspector drop-down arrow.
17. Click the 8 list item.
18. Type Incorrect cushion grips. in the Description field under the Description tab.
19. Type Will inspect the items for quality. in the Initial Response field.
20. Click the Cause/Correction tab.
21. Click the Cause drop-down arrow.
22. Click the TRAIN list item.
23. Type New employee didn’t use the correct cushioning. in the Cause field.
24. Type New employee re-trained on the appropriate cushioning to be used. in the Corrective
Action field.
25. Click the Prevention tab.
26. Type New employee production will be inspected for two weeks prior to shipment. in the
Preventive Action field.
27. Click the Save icon. The new CAR record has been saved and a CAR number displays next to
the CAR Num field.
28. Write down the CAR number ____________.
29. Click the Close (X) button on the CARs form
