Configure employee types

Configure employee types

1. Open the Employee Types form.
2. Click New.
3. Type ST_100 in the Emp Type field. This is a required field. The value you specify is the code 
that other Time Track forms and programs will use to refer to this employee type.
4. Type ST_[your initials] Production in the Description field.
5. Click ST_[your initials] from the Payroll Id drop-down list. This is a required field, so payroll 
schedules must be defined before you can configure employee types. The Payroll Schedule 
value is the only link between operations and payroll activities in Time Track.
6. Click the Default ABS Code drop-down list.
7. Click the GEN list item.
8. Click the Labor Posting To ERP drop-down list.
9. Click the After Processing list item.
10. Verify the Process to Payroll check box is selected.
11. Click the Remarks Mandatory check box.
12. Click the Use Absence Approval System check box.
13. Click the Elapsed Time Data Capture check box.
14. Click the Combine Labor and Machine Time check box.
15. Click the Punch Parameters tab.
16. Type the following in the Grace Time fields. Grace times are expressed in minutes and 
represent the amount of time for which a variance from the scheduled punch event will be 
accepted without an error.
