Create and post a recurring allocation

Part 1: Create and post a recurring allocation entry
1. Click the Open icon.
2. Type journal entries in the Filter field.
3. Click the Journal Entries list item.
4. Click the OK button. The Journal Entries (Filter in Place) form opens.

5. Click the Journal drop-down arrow.
6. Click the RJ ALLOC list item.
7. Click the Filter in Place icon. A dialog box opens with the message, “Not one Journal 
Transaction exists for RJ ALLOC.”
8. Click the OK button.
9. Type [your initials]* in the Account field.
10. Click the Account drop-down list.
11. Click the [your initials]333 list item.
12. Type 1000.00 in the Domestic Debit field.
13. Type Recurring in the Reference field.
14. Click the New icon.
15. Click the Account drop-down arrow.
16. Click the 10000 list item.
17. Type 1000.00 in the Domestic Credit field.
Note: the Reference field is automatically repeated.
18. Click the Save icon. 
19. Click the Post Journal button. The Ledger Posting for Journal (Modal) form opens.
20. Click the Process button. A dialog box opens with the message, “[Journal Transaction Report] 
will be printed.”
21. Click the OK button. The Ledger Posting for Journal Report opens in a new tab.
Note the allocation account displays the 25% distribution to the expense account, by Unit Code 1 
(Department).
22. Click the X on the report tab to close. A dialog box opens with the message, “Report Submitted”.
23. Click the OK button. 
24. Click to select the Commit radio button.
25. Click the Process button. A dialog box opens with the message, “[Post] will be performed.”
26. Click the OK button. A dialog box opens with the message, “2 Journal Transaction(s) were 
posted.”
27. Click the OK button.
28. Click the X on the Ledger Posting for Journal (Modal) form.
29. Click the X on the Journal Entries form.
Part 2: View the posted transactions
1. Type g/l posted in the Filter field.
2. Click the G/L Posted Transactions list item.
3. Click the OK button. The G/L Posted Transactions (Filter in Place) form opens.
4. Click the Posted From drop-down arrow.
5. Click the RJ ALLOC list item. 
6. Click the Filter in Place icon. 
7. View your entries.
8. Click the X on the G/L Posted Transactions form.
