Part 1: Payment of Customer order invoice
1. Click the Open icon on the toolbar. The Select Form dialog box opens.
2. Type a/r payments in the Filter field
3. Click the web.A/R Payments list item.
3. Click the OK button. The A/R Payments form opens
4. Click the New icon.
5. Click the Customer drop-down arrow.
6. Select the 1 from the list.
7. Verify Check is selected in the Type field.
8. Leave [today’s date] as the Receipt Date.
9. Type 104 in the Number field. This is the check number.
10. Click the Save icon.
11. Click the Distributions button.
12. Click the Invoice drop-down arrow.
13. Click the [your invoice number] from the list.
14. Click the Payments menu option.
15. Type the dollar amount that is in the Applied and Remaining field into the Amount field.
In your environment the amount would be the amount of the check the customer
sent but because of training purposes and not knowing what your invoice total is
you are updating the amount after distributing it. .
16. Click the Save icon.
17. Click the X on the A/R Payment Distributions form.
Part Two: Payment of Manual Invoice.
1. Click the Open icon on the toolbar. The Select Form dialog box opens.
2. Type a/r payments in the Filter field
3. Click the web.A/R Payments list item.
4. Click the OK button. The A/R Payments form opens
5. Click the New icon.
6. Click the Customer drop-down arrow.
7. Select the 11 from the list.
8. Verify Check is selected in the Type field.
9. Leave [today’s date] as the Receipt Date.
10. Type 985 in the Number field.
11. Type 4000 in the Amount field.
12. Click the Save icon.
13. Click the Quick menu option.
Using the Quick Payment Application allows you to see any open credits. The A/R
Payment Distribution form doesn’t show open credits.
14. Click to select the Selected checkbox for [your invoice] of 4253.75 and the credit memo for
253.75.
15. Click the Apply button. A dialog box opens with the message,” X Payment Distributions were
changed; X Payment Distributions were created X Payment Distributions have been removed.”
16. Click the OK button.
This step applied the open credit memo to the invoice.
17. Click the X on the A/R Quick Payment Application(linked) form.
18. Click the X on the A/R Payments form.
