Part One: Create credit memo
1. Click the Open icon on the toolbar. The Select Form dialog box opens.
2. Type invoices,debits,and credit memos in the Filter field.
3. Click the Invoices, Debits, and Credit Memos list item.
4. Click the OK button. The Invoices, Debits, and Credit Memos form opens
5. Click the Filter in Place icon
6. Click the New icon.
7.. Click the Customer drop-down arrow.

8. Click the 11 from the list.
9. Click the Type drop-down arrow.
10. Click the Credit Memo from the list.
11. Leave the Number field blank to allow the system to assign the credit memo number.
12. Type 3.75 in the Freight field.
13. Type 250 in the Misc Charges field.
14. Click the Save icon. The system-assigned credit memo number and the default account numbers
display on the form.
15. Click the Actions menu item.
16. Click> Notes for Current.
17. Type Notes into the Subject field on the Object Notes form.
18. Type “Per Sales, freight and misc should not have been charged to customer.” In the Note field.
19. Click the Save icon.
20. Click the X on the Object Notes form
21. Click the X on the Invoices, Debit and Credit Memos form.
Part Two: Post credit memos
1. Click the Open icon on the toolbar. The Select Form dialog box opens.
2. Type Invoice posting in the Filter field
3. Click the Invoice Posting list item.
4. Click the OK button. The Invoice Posting form opens
5. Click Invoice Posting.
6. Click the Process button.
7. Click the OK button. In the message box informing you that, “[Invoice Transaction Report] will be
printed.”
8. Click the OK button. In the message box informing you that, “Report Submitted.”
9. Click to select the Commit radio button.
10. Click Process.
11. Click the OK button. In the message box informing you that, “[Invoice Posting] will be performed.”
12. Click the OK button. In the message box informing you that, “XX A/R Invoice(s) were posted”
13. Click the Window drop-down arrow in the Menu bar.
14. Click the Close All menu item
