Part 1: Create a fixed asset transfer transaction
1. Click the Open icon. The Select Form dialog box opens.
2. Type fixed asset t in the Filter field.
3. Click the Fixed Asset Transfer list item.
4. Click the OK button. The Fixed Asset Transfer (Filter in Place) form opens.
5. Click the Filter in Place icon.
6. Click the Fixed Asset Number drop-down arrow.
7. Click the DRL-10 list item.
8. Click the New Class Code drop-down arrow.
9. Click the MAEQ-300 list item.
10. Type Machine Shop in New Location field.
11. Click the Save icon.
12. Click the Close (X) button on the Fixed Asset Transfer form.
Part 2: Post the transfer transaction
1. Click the Open icon. The Select Form dialog box opens.
2. Type fixed asset t in the Filter field.
3. Click the Fixed Asset Transfer Posting list item.
4. Click the OK button. The Fixed Asset Transfer Posting form opens.
5. Click the Starting Asset drop-down arrow.
6. Click the DRL-10 list item. The Ending Asset field populates.
7. Click the Process button. The Fixed Asset Transfer report opens in a new tab.
Note: The Old Class and Dept. and the New Class and Dept.
8. Click the OK button.
9. Click to select the Commit radio button.
10. Click the Process button. A dialog box opens with the message: “[Fixed Asset Transfer Posting]
will be performed.”
11. Click the OK button. A dialog box opens with the message: “1 Fixed Asset(s) were posted.”
12. Click the OK button.
13. Click the Close (X) button on the Fixed Asset Transfer Posting form.
Part 3: Verify the fixed asset transfer
1. Click the Open icon. The Select Form dialog box opens.
2. Type fixed assets in the Filter field.
3. Click the Fixed Assets list item.
4. Click the OK button. The Fixed Assets (Filter in Place) form opens.
5. Type DRL-10 in the Asset Number field.
6. Click the Filter in Place icon.
7. Verify 300 is showing in the Department field.
8. Click the Close (X) button on the Fixed Assets form
