Part 1: Set up test methods
1. Click the Open icon on the toolbar.
2. Type test methods in the Filter field.
3. Click the Test Methods list item.
4. Click the OK button. The Test Methods form opens.
5. Click the New icon.
6. Type Durability in the Test Method field.
7. Click the New icon.
8. Type Strength in the Test Method field.
9. Click the New icon.
10. Type Thickness in the Test Method field.
11. Click the Save icon.
12. Click the Close (X) button on the Test Methods form.
Part 2: Add gauge groups
1. Click the Open icon on the toolbar. The Select Form dialog box opens.
2. Type gauge gr in the Filter field.
3. Click the Gauge Groups list item.
4. Click the OK button. The Gauge Groups form opens.
5. Click the New icon.
6. Type HARDNESS in the Gauge Group field.
7. Click the New icon.
8. Type MICROMETERS in the Gauge Group field.
9. Click the New icon.
10. Type PRESSURE TESTERS in the Gauge Group field.
11. Click the Save icon.
12. Click the Close (X) button on the Gauge Groups form.
Part 3: Add gauge statuses
1. Click the Open icon on the toolbar. The Select Form dialog box opens.
2. Type gauge st in the Filter field.
3. Click the Gauge Status list item.
4. Click the OK button. The Gauge Status form opens.
5. Click the New icon.
6. Type OBSOLETE in the Gauge Status field.
7. Press Tab.
8. Type Obsolete in the Description field.
9. Click the New icon.
10. Type REPAIR in the Gauge Status field.
11. Press Tab.
12. Type Being Repaired in the Description field
13. Click the Save icon.
14. Click the Close (X) button on the Gauge Status form.
Part 4: Add gauges
1. Click the Open icon on the toolbar. The Select Form dialog box opens.
2. Type gauges in the Filter field.
3. Click the Gauges list item.
4. Click the OK button. The Gauges (Filter in Place) form opens.
5. Click the Filter in Place icon.
6. Click the New icon.
7. Type PRESSURE TESTER in the Gauge # field.
8. Type Cushion Pressure Tester in the Description field.
9. Select ACTIVE from the Gauge Status drop-down list.
10. Select PRESSURE TESTERS from the Gauge Group drop-down list.
11. Type 400 in the Price field.
12. Type 1400 in the Model field.
13. Click the New icon.
14. Type GAUGE in the Gauge # field.
15. Type Gauge 123 in the Description field.
16. Select ACTIVE from the Gauge Status drop-down list.
17. Select HARDNESS from the Gauge Group drop-down list.
18. Click the Save icon.
19. Click the Close (X) button on the Gauges form.
Part 5: Set up control plan and control plan tests
1. Click the Open icon on the toolbar.
2. Type control plan in the Filter field.
3. Click the Control Plan (QC Items) list item.
4. Click the OK button. The Control Plan (QC Items) (Filter in Place) form opens.
5. Click the Filter in Place icon.
6. Click the New icon.
7. Type al in the Item field.
8. Click the Item drop-down arrow.
9. Click the AL-10000 list item.
10. Verify P is selected in the Ref Type field.
11. Click the Vendor drop-down arrow.
12. Click the 2 list item.
13. Click the Inspection Frequency drop-down arrow.
14. Click the RECEIPTS list item.
15. Verify 1 is in the Inspection Break Qty field.
16. Click the Save icon.
17. Click to select the first CP-10000 from the Item list in the grid on the left.
18. Verify P is selected in the Ref Type field.
19. Verify 1 is selected in the Vendor field.
20. Verify CERTIFIED is selected in the Inspection Frequency field.
Note: There is no Inspection Break Qty.
21. Click to select the CG-10000 from the Item list in the grid on the left. Use the one that has no
vendor selected.
22. Verify P is selected in the Ref Type field.
23. Click to select the First Article check box.
24. Click the Save icon.
25. Verify RECEIPTS is selected in the Inspection Frequency field.
26. Verify 1 is in the Inspection Break Qty field.
27. Click the Control Plan Tests (QC Item Tests) button. The Control Plan Tests (QC Item Tests)
(Linked) form opens.
28. Click the Sev Level drop-down arrow.
29. Click the MINOR list item.
30. Click the Gauge Group drop-down arrow.
31. Click the HARDNESS list item.
32. Click the Equipment drop-down arrow.
33. Click the GAUGE list item.
34. Click the Test Method drop-down arrow.
35. Click the Durability list item.
36. Type 6 in the Expected Minimum Test Value field.
37. Type 8 in the Expected Nominal Test Value field.
38. Type 10 in the Expected Maximum Test Value field.
39. Click the Save icon.
40. Click the Close (X) button on the Control Plan Tests (QC Item Tests) (Linked) form.
